Safety and Security Measures
Nine charging stations have also been set up in order to support this project. Every buses can go up to 250 kilometers with one complete charge; therefore, these are a reliable source for daily commutes. Expansion Plans and Future Prospects
The first phase of the project will have 27 Electric Vehicle Buses operating. It is expected that the service will cater to 17,000 passengers per day. In addition to the service provided by the Electric Vehicle Buses, 42 modern buses shelters will be built along the Green Town route. A buses will arrive at each station every nine minutes.
A specialized mobile application will be introduced, allowing passengers to track buses in real-time. The fare payment system will be digitalized, enabling commuters to pay using digital wallets and transport cards. In an effort to promote seamless travel, universal transport cards will also be issued.

Driver Training and Additional Infrastructure
The Punjab government has initiated focused training for 70 drivers working on Electric Vehicle Buses to ensure effortless running of this service.
